About the Role

A leading healthcare BPO is seeking Medical Coders — freshers and experienced professionals — to handle ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding for US-based healthcare providers. This is a fully remote role with structured onboarding and mentorship.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS Level II codes to medical records
• Review clinical documentation including physician notes, lab results, and discharge summaries
• Ensure compliance with CMS, AHA, and AMA coding guidelines
• Query physicians for clarification on ambiguous or incomplete documentation
• Meet daily productivity and accuracy targets as defined by client SLAs
• Participate in audits, coding reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications

• MBBS, BHMS, BAMS, BPT, or equivalent life sciences degree; OR DMLT/B.Sc with medical coding certification
• CPC, CCS, or equivalent AHIMA/AAPC certification (preferred; training provided for freshers)
• Working knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment with good self-discipline
• English reading comprehension and typing speed of 40+ WPM
